You. Are. Kidding, right? Cain is being smeared, but there is no sex scandal. No sex=No scandal. And Newt actually is capable of winning over more than a few evangelicals, because despite his turbulent personal history, he really is playing all the right notes at the moment. But Perry? No one but God knows anything for certain, but IMHO, ain’t gonna happen.
Cain has a sexual harassment problem. The longer this stays in the news the more it will hurt him. The more details that come out the more it hurts him. I am assuming that there is not some grand conspiracy among those women.
Newt has made no effort to build a campaign organization in Iowa. Nate Silver suggested that Iowa would be the best place for Perry to make a stand and I think that is right. It’s all about momentum coming out of the first caucus/primary.
