If it's supposed to be satire, parody or sarcasm, it only succeeds in being boorish.

I've read a large part of it, and I'm confident that it is meant as satire. (Read the fist three paragraphs and see if you don't agree.) If it comes across as boorish, it's because the Occupy actions mentioned are depraved. I think Jim should consider some further editing of this piece.
