Anarchy in a community is wonderful, as long as you have rules to limit the chaos, a coordinator to decide what limits are needed, people to police the enforcement of those rules, and a revenue source that will pay for the minimal necessary community expenses. In fact, that system sounds just about perfect. I think such limited anarchy would last a long time, probably until the coordinators discovered they could buy extra time in that position by collecting more money for the community to bribe those who select the coordinators. A written founding document that limited the coordinators’ power might even extend that time. We should try that system - it would be glorious while it lasted . . . but then sad when community members started ignoring the founding limits on their leaders’ power.
