And you would be wrong. Let's take the 16th amendment ~ the income tax ~ obviously needs to be rewritten, as does the 14th ~ mostly because the civil war has been over for a very long time and the slaves lived out their lives and are gone.

The Supreme Court needs to be tied down to the degree it responds to the will of the people ~ currently you have to impeach and convict a judge to get rid of him ~ we need term limitations and recurring reviews followed by elections (at legislative or Congressional levels although in modern times we could probably do it by referendum). Maybe a Right To Life amendment and a Defense of Marriage amendment ~ and a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Most of DC needs to be stuffed back into the state of Maryland! Again, that requires a constitutional change.

There are others who could go on and on regarding what needs to be done ~ lot of 10th amendment expansion for example ~

It IS Conservative to FIX known problems. It is Leftwingtardish to LEAVE known problems in place no matter what abuses ensue.

Because the Constitution has in it the procedures for revision, it is Conservative to follow those procedures and use them when we can to resolve longstanding issues.

If you do not agree you have NO PLACE on FR.

I apologize. When I speak of the Constitution and hear talk of rewriting it, I think immediately of the Bill of Rights.

You are correct. There are a number of amendments that need eliminating. The 16th being the foremost.

My comment was in regard to the first ten. Which I consider the original Constitution and the embodiment of the framers' intent for this nation.
