Yes, if we can only convince the geezer set to accept heroin sold at 7-Elevens, legalizing whorehouses in every community and giving the finger to Israel and every overseas ally, Ron’s in like Flint!

It's the young, upwardly mobile libertarian crowd...they idolize Paul..and they donate to him.

IMHO, the key question is if/when Paul drops out, and whom he endorses..

Paul won't endorse the actual Republican nominee. My guess is he runs indie. Paul is not really a conservative and doesn't belong in the Republican party in the first place.

The threat Paul poses is if he pulls a Perot (no insult to Ross intended). Even shaving 1% from our side in a close election could give it to nobama.

...no worries, Roxanol can be purchased with a prescription, at the local gas station, prostitutes hang out, Stormfront can lobby Congress for their interests, and former servicemen can say that the WOT is a mistake and a failure...

...Any questions???

I'm pretty sure that Pal recently ruled out any third party run. He said it would really hurt the GOP nominee.

This is is political swansong, and if he ran as an indie..he'd really hurt his son's future in the party, and I think the other son is running for the House. Nope..Paul will play nice this time.

Also, whule he's nuts on foreign policy, on fiscal matters he's pretty much spot on. So, maybe he'd like an Asst`Treasury Sec slrt, or even to a FedReserve post..that would asre make for some interesting meetings..

I'm pretty sure he didn't. I just saw him on the Fox News roundtable the other night and he refused to rule it out. He only said he had no plans to run as an independent - which is obviously what a current Republican candidate would say. I recall the table kind of laughing at how he parsed the statement to leave himself an out.

You make a good point about his son though. If he runs indie it really might hurt Rand's future in the party, so that might effect his decision.

Fear not my FRiend

As you know, Paul drones are not Conservatives. America's anarchists and malcontent radicals will pull votes from O'Zero more than any GOP'r.

"Older Voters = well informed"

You forgot the "end sarcasm" tag.

Are these the same people who strongly believe in Socialist Insecurity, Mediscare, and all the rest?

Why would seniors support Ron Paul? They have the least to benefit from fiscal responsibility. Ron Paul’s foreign policy is untenable, but if we are going to be honest, the GOP’s fiscal policy is untenable as well. We are going to have a fiscal crisis unlike anything anyone can imagine and it is inevitable unless we change. I can’t support Ron Paul, but unless we start to get onboard with his financial message, aka cutting TRILLIONS NOW! then either my or guaranteed my children’s generation are going to suffer miserably.
