Limbaugh: Cain controversy ‘about blacks and Hispanics getting too uppity’ [VIDEO OF SHOW]
The Daily Caller ^ | Oct. 31, 2011 | Jeff Poor

On his Monday show, right-wing radio talker Rush Limbaugh blasted “the mainstream media” for employing stereotypes in reporting sexual harassment accusations allegedly leveled at GOP presidential front-runner Herman Cain, allegations first published by Politico.

“I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, folks,” Limbaugh said. “After all of these years, none of us should be surprised and I still am: Look at how quickly what is known as the ‘mainstream media’ goes for the ugliest racial stereotypes they can to attack a black conservative.”

Limbaugh compared the rapidly expanding Cain saga to the way media outlets covered the alleged indiscretions of former President Bill Clinton, concluding that the Politico story is a part of a calculated left-wing strategy to marginalize minority conservatives — including Cain and Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio, who was subject of a Washington Post story last week about claims that his parents were Cuban exiles.

“This story appears to me to be a close relative of the hit job The Washington Post is doing on Marco Rubio,” he said. “And it’s not news. It’s not a news story. This is gutter partisan politics and it’s the politics of partisan minority personal destruction, is what you’ve got here.

“Rubio and Cain, unfit to lead: Don’t you see? ‘We cannot have a black Republican running for the office of president. We can’t have one elected. We can’t have a Hispanic.’ The left owns those two groups. And those two groups are forever going to be minorities. Those groups cannot ever be seen to be self-sufficient or rising above on their own.”

This was already posted today by Kaslin, who did a fine job of it by the way. But I thought I would post this version as well because it includes video of Rush behind the mic. One thing to read him, another to actually watch him doing the show live.

Proof once again that sometimes fact takes on fiction.

[Atticus says]
"The witnesses for the state, with the exception of the sheriff of Maycomb County, have presented themselves to you gentlemen, to this court, in the cynical confidence that their testimony would not be doubted, confident that you gentlemen would go along with them on the assumption – the evil assumption – that all Negroes lie, that all Negroes are basically immoral beings, that all Negro men are not to be trusted around our women, an assumption one associates with minds of their caliber."
From the novel 'To Kill a Mocking Bird', by Harper Lee

Bart: I'm rapidly becoming a big underground success in this town.

Jim: See? In another twenty-five years, you'll be able to shake their hands in broad daylight.

Thanks for that post! Quite beautiful. No conservative black man - with truly black skin and a history that comes out of American slavery and sharecropping - is ever safe from calumny.

I do think if Rush is going to mention trumped up smears against Cain and Rubio, he should also mention Palin. They are all three members of groups considered ‘owned’ by the Demon Rat party. They were all unfairly smeared in the worst possible way with lies and innunedos.
