This could be trouble for Cain, no question. I’d keep a close eye on this one, and I wouldn’t be quick to defend a guy we hardly know. The folks that defended Arnold looked very foolish years later. Let’s not repeat those kind of mistakes.
However, I wanted to make note to you my post #251 above. My insurance company “settled” a claim of neck injury by some sue-happy criminal in New Orleans when I side-swiped his parked vehicle, and he was not even in the car. The “settlement” was for $250.
That's right, $250. Some neck injury, huh?
The guy wanted a check, and he got one. My insurance company “settled”, against my wishes.
We need to let this story play out.
There was only one Tiger Woods mistress.
Until there were two.
Until there were three.
Until there were.... what was the last count???
Who the hell cares!
After a blow job under the desk in the oval office I thought we (they) were over other people’s sex lives!
Damn bunch of hypocrites in MSM!
You’ve posted that before, I guess to for some reason create doubt. But for your “one person” who obviously doesn’t like Cain, there are MANY who have been interviewed now who DO like him, who worked with him, worked for him, employed him, went to church with him, you name it. Even in this Politico article on page four (that most folks don’t bother to read to):
Herman treated everyone great, said Mary Ann Cricchio, who was elected to the board of the restaurant group in 1998. She said Cain left such a good impression on the organization that when he spoke at a group event in January of this year, as he was considering a presidential bid, he had unanimous support in the room.
Speak for yourself. Some FReepers know Cain pretty darn well.
These accusations will not hold water, it is so far from his character as to be laughable.
Did you read the last page of the Politico article?
Ron Magruder, Denise Marie Fugo and Joseph Fassler, the chair, vice chair and immediate past chairman of the National Restaurant Association board of directors at the time of Cains departure, said they hadnt heard about any complaints regarding Cain making unwanted advances.
I have never heard that. It would be news to me, said Fugo, who runs a Cleveland, Ohio, catering company, adding such behavior would be totally out of character for the Cain she knew. Hes very gracious.
Fassler, who helped bring Cain on board as CEO of the restaurant association, said that any inappropriate behavior was not brought to his attention and that he would be upset to learn it had gone on and he was not made aware of it.
Thats a shock to me, Fassler said. As an officer during all of Hermans years there as a paid executive none of that stuff ever surfaced to me. Nobody ever called me, complained about this, nor did I ever hear that from Peter Kilgore, nor did I ever hear that from Herman Cain.
Fassler who ran a Phoenix food-service company and finished his term as chairman the month before Cains June 1999 departure but remained on the boards executive committee described Cain as treating men and women identically and asserted it was not within his character to make unwanted advances. Its not what I know of him, Fassler said.
Much like Fassler, almost all board members remember Cain fondly and say he left on good terms.
Cain was extremely professional and fair to female staffers at the restaurant association, recalled Lee Ellen Hayes, who said she worked fairly closely with Cain in the late 1990s, when she was an executive at the National Restaurant Association Education Fund, a Chicago-based offshoot of the group.
Cains treatment of women was the same as his treatment of men. Herman treated everyone great, said Mary Ann Cricchio, who was elected to the board of the restaurant group in 1998. She said Cain left such a good impression on the organization that when he spoke at a group event in January of this year, as he was considering a presidential bid, he had unanimous support in the room.
OH MY GOD. I like CAIN. What is wrong with you people. We’re not allowed to say anything about a Conservative candidate that may, GASP, BE TRUE? My fear is that we will choose a candidate and then all this crap will come out after the fact. BETTER WE KNOW IT BEFORE, don’t you think? Or are you too shallow to realize that just because someone talks a good game does not mean they will be a good candidate.
Gloria Allred finagles her way into this story in 3....2....1....
If you have a right to come on a public forum and cast suspicion based on one exchange, I have an equal right to come on this forum and offer a different opinion based on testimony of many people.
Or it may not even be true. Let’s see...no one was raped, no one was groped, no sexual overtures were made, he allegedly said something they didn’t like. Well, boo frickin’ hoo. That could have been anything. It didn’t even have to be sexual in nature. Some people are just too thin-skinned. And like one of the Freepers said, a 5-figure settlement is for a nuisance suit. Companies routinely settle without admitting guilt just to make a nuisance suit go away, because that’s far less time-consuming and resource-consuming, costs a lot less money, and is far less emotionally exhuasting than actual litigation.
You're probably right. I was surprised no one came forward or at least commented about Obama during the 08 campaign, even, "Yeah, I was a classmate of his at Columbia." Nothing, that I know of. Or, "Yeah, we were friends in law school." Maybe numerous people have and I just haven't read or heard about it.
I still want to see his grades and LSAT. . Did he take it, or was he given a puff pass?
“Both women received separation packages that were in the five-figure range”
Better than Lewinsky did.
Far better than Marlyn Monroe or Mary Jo Kopechne, did.
Democrats usually abort the kids and then kill their women.
I think this comes from Romney....
I am vetting anonymous sources that say Martin is Storm Front/KKK

Only two, Herman? Gadzooks, I get four to eight fembot complains on my inappropriate behavior... when I go to the potty and back--
Just take Politico's word on it. /sarc
All one has to do to be accused of, or even found guilty of sexual harassment is to be in possession of a penis, and in a position of authority.
The Punk Martin, form Politico...shotgunned Cain with the wrong question.
He didn’t ask him if he committed sexual harassment. He asked him if he was “accused” of sexual harassment.
...and that is the enntire BS innuendo of this story
