Actually, he has great speaking skills. He can get the room so wound up they’re screaming and whooping. He’s just not good at a 30 second sound bite because he’s a slow talking man. Americans actually LIKE slow talking men, but they’re not good at debates.

You are correct. I have heard him sound very good at times. These debates are next to worthless in my opinion.
They are only set up to give candidates the chance to get in 10 second zingers.
Nothing much of substance can be done in the format in my opinion.

We are not talking about an Aggies Football Pep Rally, we are talking about our Country, it's health and safety.

People do not want slow talkers because when they are struggling to search for the words to say 75 percent of the people watching are giving the dunce clues,putting the words in the half wit's mouth. Even people with dementia say “hurry the hell up and spit it out, we are not getting any younger”. Slow talkers put people to sleep, and the attention span is zero.
