Texas Governor Rick Perry is joined with his family Son Griffin (L) daughter- in-law Meredith (3rd R), daughter Sydney Perry (2nd R), and wife Anita after announcing his presidential bid, in Charleston, South Carolina, August 13, 2011.![](http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/09ny2ih5vWbmN/610x.jpg)
Perry on talking to the family about the decision to run:
..There's a young man, a Navy SEAL that Anita and I took care of for about two-and-a-half years. He basically adopted us. His name is Marcus Luttrell [co-author of the book Lone Survivor]. He was in the family meeting too. It was Anita, myself, Griffin, his wife Meredith, Sydney, Marcus, and his wife. Seven of us sat down, and we had a conversation.

I’ll vote for him if he manages to snag the nomination from Herman, but I won’t work for him nor send money. Herman is my man.

Why Governor Perry is still likely to be nominated,
You're entering Baghdad Bob territory.

Sincere questions for you, CW. Do you honestly believe that the repeated and continuous postings of articles, photos and blog entries regarding Perry are going to change how a large number of FR members are going to view him as a candidate?
Is it your sincere belief that being fairly rude and sometimes obnoxious, in response to folks that don't like Perry, is going to bring those same folks to take a closer look at your candidate?
Are you really a mole working for the Romney campaign and trying to be so in-your-face about Perry that people will dislike Perry simply because you are pissing them off?
I swear that I thought the Palin-devoted did more to harm her on this forum than they did to promote her ... but you are really beginning to give them a run for their money!

Perry/Cain would be fine with me, in either order. I prefer Cain or Bachmann to head the ticket, but after 24 years of RINOs being nominated, anything on the conservative side will be a relief. Even Newt.

A Reaganesque capacity to touch the mystic chords of memory that bind us together.
I'll believe it when I see it.

It’s fascinating how much hatred and venom is directed at Mr. Perry in this thread. To the haters: if you hate Mr. Perry so much, then why bother posting to a thread like this? Or is spewing hatred and venom the only pleasure you derive from life?

(If Romney is the GOP nominee, then Obama wins in 2012, either directly or by proxy)
