I believe the officials decide more close games then the players in the NFL, so it could happen, but Cain is going to be pulling the train.
I held my nose and voted for McCain and will probably do the same for Romney if he wins the nomination. (I would vote for Romney over McCain in that hypothetical - the main selling points on McCain were his age and his VP nominee.)
I do wish someone else in the field would get some traction. I’m not sold on Cain yet, but I’m still open to the possibility. Maybe he can get Palin to do the VP gig again so we can just chop the Mc off of the old bumper stickers.
Bob Barr doesn’t think the premise of Obama winning Georgia is ridiculous and neither does GOP Georgian political consultant Mark Roundtree.

Embarrassingly silly.
In what respect?
That Tebow could take the Broncos to the playoffs or that Colorado could prove pivotal in the electoral college in 2012.
“And I would not put it past Team Obama and George Soros to try to bribe NFL officials to ensure that Tebow is more likely to lose than to win football games.”
I bet the Bilderbergs, Trilateral Commission, the KGB and the quarter used in Bronco game coin flips are also in on this conspiracy.
And if I met the Pope tomorrow I could be beatified. :)
Become a Chargers fan instead. :)
LOL @ this theory.
In CO, Tom Tancredo > Tim Tebow. Would the greatest human being college football player in the history of all mankind be able to save Rick Perry in a state that views immigration as pretty dang important? I think not. So what makes you think they’ll be fooled by an even bigger RINO in Mitt Romney. Running moderates in CO have about the same effect as they do in VA, which isn’t a very good track record.
Now, if Obama had a pulse, he could pull off GA, but Obama is so weak, he isn’t going to be able to take advantage of it. Whatever “independents” come out to vote in GA will almost certainly vote GOP or third party.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/polls/#GAP00p1
These numbers aren’t too bad for McCain. The final tally made it look closer than what it really was. McCain won GA by roughly 205,000 votes. And this, despite the fact that Obama picked up over 500,000 more votes than Kerry. Even if McCain hadn’t picked up any additional votes from Bush’s 2004 margin, who would have still won GA by about 70,000 votes. And like other states, McCain ran poorly among women, moderates, and young people.
It is highly doubtful Obama, as weak as he is will be able to maintain the same level of support he got in 2008. Assuming that Obama stayed at the same level, Romney could lose almost 10% of McCain’s vote total and still win GA. But Obama, while he’ll lead the categories he lead last time, it won’t be as dominant, and he’ll have no chance to capitalize in GA, just like he wouldn’t have a chance to capitalize in any of the other red states from 2008.
Hell, I didn’t think it possible the 49ers would beat the Lions the way the Lions were playing at that point. I certainly didn’t expect the Lions to lose two in a row. Now, however, I won’t discount the possibility.
Talking straight football here and nothing else (been a football fan since the 50s and was actually at the Ice Bowl) ... Tebow is not the answer for the Broncos. Great kid, but can’t play NFL QB.
i stopped reading at this point.
I would, if Obama and Soros are seriously wasting their money bribing refs, good, because thats money they could have spent better somewhere else.
BTW, If Bret Farve, being a legend at one time in the state of Wis, couldn't deliver that state, with phone calls and campaigning, then Tebow isn't going to deliver Colorado.
Also, someone out there check this for me, but I think John Elway is a republican too, and it didn't do a lick of good for the GOP, Dan Marino is a big big republican, and that hasn't made a difference in Florida (Shula is a republican too). Joe Gibbs was/is a big Republican, and I doubt that he helped much. I also don't think Kurt Warner made a difference in any election either, though he is a big and proud supporter of the GOP. Mike Ditka used to be king of Illinois, and he isn't going to turn that state red.
We haven't even gotten to New Englands other son, Joe Brady, and last election, the entire region went blue, and he actually appeared for Bush at a SOTU speech. Sports endorsements are not a big deal, and don't carry much weight, no matter how popular the figure in question is.
Sam Bradford is also an outspoken Christian. Is the NFL trying to sabotage the Rams so Obama can win Missouri’s electoral votes? Or do the Rams just suck anyway?
The two premises are not mutually exclusive.
Your conspiracy falls apart right off the bat on that point alone.
Conservatives, it's time we all become Denver Broncos' fans.
I'd...rather...die...first. Go Chiefs!
I’ll put my reputation of political prediction up against Barr and Roundtree. Mark this down, Obama will lose Georgia by at least 8% come November 2012 regardless of who we have as the nominee.
