I see you’ve made a terrible mistake. You spent time and effort to do a detailed analysis, and it took more than one paragraph to explain.
Therefore, it was too long, so everybody ignored everything you wrote, found a sentence they could use to feel better about themselves, and responded as if they have something important to add to the conversation.
I don’t find tax law all that complicated (for the most part) either.
But it wouldn’t hurt to simplify it — there’s way too many things that have been thrown into it because politicians are involved. But throwing out the whole thing and replacing it with something new isn’t necessary to cure that problem.

I agree. And I did say that too, but if I had just said that, I wouldn’t feel like I had given the 999-Plan a fair and thorough review.
You are right on. I looked at the first 50 posts and not a single comment on the actual substance of the article, which is actually a pretty decent job. It doesn’t matter. 9-9-9 is DOA regardless.
