It doesn't matter whether YOU accept it or understand it. What matters is the deliberate misrepresentation of a doctrine that is easily researched with one that is false.
So the bottom line is if you are going to present a false definition as the true one - you are lying and being dishonest. As long as you do so, expect to be challenged on it. And as far as the proper definition of the Trinity, your erroneous presentation has been exposed. You have no excuse for presenting a lie as truth.
For the record, DU and reno could only continue to lie about the fundamentals. I guess when one sides with liars . . . . .
BTW, expect to be pinged when ever I want - just a simple fact of posting here on FR
I beg to differ. If Delphiuser and Reno 232 are LDS, there is no way on God’s green earth that they took Godzilla to the woodshed when it comes to explaining the trinity. Mormons do not believe in a triune God. They believe God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three separate beings although united in purpose.
Thanks. The fact of the matter is they tried to replace the definition for the Trinity with that of modalism (generally) as shown in my above posts. Classical strawman, except that they had to lie to accomplish it.
bttt
"IT"??? Mormons already impersonalize the Holy Ghost by often calling HIM an "it"...Whatever you are using "it" to reference, ultimately we're talking about Himself.
And the reality, make-up & attributes of God wasn't dictated by whether or not you could comprehensively understand Him or not.
We know...
...the Bible teaches there is only ONE true God (anti-deification verses: Isaiah 43:10; 44:8; 1 Tim. 2:5; James 2:19)
...Joseph Smith's JST version of the Bible teaches the same (Eph. 4:6; 1 Tim. 2:5; Mark 12:35; v. 29 in KJV)
...even the Lds Doctrines & Covenants teach there is one God (D&C 20:19, 28...v. 19 says "the ONLY living and true God" ...
...so tell us, Confab...how long have you had this problem with defining "only" and "God" in the singular?)
We also know...
...The Book of Mormon teaches there is one God (2 Nephi 11:7; Mosiah 15:1-5; 16:15; 1 Nephi 13:41; 2 Nephi 31:21; Alma 14:5)
...yet God as a social being -- from eternity -- was never "lonely" pre-creation of His angels. We know...
...there were no "higher" gods -- such as Joseph Smith's "council of gods" [see again "One God" scripture references above...multiple gods cancel out the "math" of "one God."]
Therefore, God --
...the self-existent One (the basic communicated meaning of the phrase "I AM")
-- is self-contained, social, Love
Love in both giving and receiving Love within Himself. He wasn't "needy" in a god-wife, or spirit kids.
God, Himself is Love. God, Himself is Social. And yet God is One. He is a compound unity.
We also know...
...that even the Book of Mormon teaches the Trinity: 2 Nephi 31:21; 3 Nephi 11:27,36; Alma 11:26-29, 44; Mormon 7:7; Ether 3:14-20...
...as does the D&C (20:28; 35:2)
...and the pre-D&C, the Book of Commandments, 2nd Lecture, v. 2.
History also shows you present your guesses as fact.
When QUOTES from MORMONism's history is presented; they are ignored.
This is NOT a 'guess'.
You may wish to tell this to some MORMONS in these threads as well.
Smart??
Well; I guess we can agree on this; but PRETTY????
Have you SEEN his PICTURE?
Only a mother!!!
You are kidding right?
They never had the guts to admit to being polytheists based on their arguments, so if they were "taking Zilla to the woodshed" why would that be an issue? One can not be taken to the "woodshed" when they speak the truth.
If you are going to come around here trying to discredit the truth of the Holy Trinity expect to get challenged and do expect to get pinged. If you don't want to be pinged stop misrepresenting one of the obvious and very real, factual central tenants of Christianity, a MONOTHEISTIC religion.
lol
