Yes, I noticed the “31” in the Baskin Robbins logo, and having studied marketing independently (I was an art major at university) and found it to be a clever use of design and messaging.
However I do not search for hidden images and don’t think there is much of any nefarious purpose behind it. I’ve created a couple of logos myself and have been surprised when a hidden image was found in one, as it wasn’t much of an image, certainly wasn’t intentional, and really depended on the viewer’s imagination.
The hidden image in a logo is much like a pun - you have to conciously notice it. As for me, I tend to notice but don’t see anything particularly interesting about hidden images.
