All I ever heard from gun snobs was the taurus 92F was junk, but theres not that much in it that can fail, and the open top feeding makes jams less likely.
I also like the cocked and locked feature. They are a bit heavy to me for CCW though.
Ive had my eye out for compact version of that particular taurus even though I have two glocks. Ive been wanting another 9mm to have on hand as a loaner to trusted visitors who find themselves without a sidearm in a SHTF emergency. If I can find one used and unpapered at a decent deal, I might even buy it.
I'm still a .45 ACP man though. I have a Taurus OSS DS beside the bed that I trust my life to. I've put around 1000 rounds through that .45ACP and liked it so much I bought a 40S&W in OSS DS. A few Taurus pistols in the modern batch might need a bit of tuning, but I find them to be very reliable and now well made. Their magazines however often need 'filing' work to function reliably.
