Herman Cain, conservative, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, issued the following statement after the Senate voted to ban Partial-Birth Abortion:
October 22, 2003
Hallelujah for the United States Congress! They did the right thing. Some observers are amazed that they did this. That is not amazing. What is amazing is that 142 congressmen, including three from Georgia, and 34 Senators voted to keep partial birth abortion legal.
Some describe this as a contentious issue. It may be a contentious issue in the special interest group den of Washington, D.C., but it is not contentious to those who value the sanctity of life.
It's just basic common sense. It's a sick procedure and should be outlawed. Period. We need more common sense conservatives in Washington, D.C. who aren't afraid to speak the truth.
Stop muddying the waters.
Consistency is a virtue we don’t always see in those seeking office.
Funny, sounds exactly like something I’d see posted on Facebook by Sarah Palin.
Semi related.
Our governor just signed a partial birth abortion ban in Michigan.
He’s right about the 142 Congressmen against. Who the hell are these evil BSTRDS?
