I actually hope they go ahead. The Dems are embracing the OWS movement more and mroe every day...and by next summer, when this convention kicks off..they will be superglued to it. It will all but guarantee that most independent voters vote Republican, and give us the WH, Senate, and the House.
And when the demonstrations turn violent, Philly will start to resemble Chicago '68, which will be a fitting epitath for Chicago's "favorite son", Obama.
