You say “Denver and University of Colorado”; do you mean Denver University and University of Colorado-Denver?

If so, DU is very liberal, the Denver campus of Univ of Col somewhat less so.

My wife takes classes at Metro University (collocated with U of C-Denver at the Auraria campus) and it's surprisingly conservative. The younger students are fairly typical for kids their age but the older students and many profs either keep their politics to themselves or seem to lean right. This was rather surprising at first but when you realize that the older students and profs are often part-time maybe it makes sense.

Have your son take a look at Metro; I've been surprised at the quality of the coursework.

Alamosa is probably the coldest place.

My son's phone is not working right and we have just been texting back and forth. I went back over messages and it looks like he is talking about Denver University. I was thinking Universe of Colorado. Either way, seems like Adam's would be a better choice for him, but I will let him know about Metro. Thanks!

Dittos to Metro. Metro is known for its aviation courses and the making of pilots. It has a good reputation for many of its other degrees as well.

If you meant University of Denver, or DU, is very liberal, low quality education, and extremely expensive. I couldn’t possibly recommend it.

Thanks-he has formed his conservative views but no sense in surrounding himself with a concentration of idiots.

If cost is a consideration, you could probably do all four years at Adams for what one year at DU would cost. DU is a private university and as CodeToad said, quite expensive.

As a pilot I have continuous contact with students from Metro State from their aviation department. At least for those students I have been reasonably impressed with them. I find they are a more conservative bunch than usual and we hire many of them at my company. Most do very well and are professional in nature. I can easily recommend a college like Metro.

As a side note, Condi Rice graduated DU in the 70’s. I found her to be extremely liberal with her calling for world welfare at US taxpayer expense.

It hurts my head to think about people like Conde Rice. What a waste of brains. Someday, they will figure out that liberalism is really a mental disorder or something lacking genetically that causes these people to have faulty reasoning. Seriously lacking.
