Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, is on the rise in the 2012 Republican presidential field. We shouldn't pay attention to the polls just yet, but most of them show Cain ahead of or close to Mitt Romney. Is Herman Cain the anti-Romney candidate that we have been looking for? He might be. Herman Cain has been able to raise $2 million in 2 weeks! That is incredible! If he continues putting up these numbers, he is going to be tough to beat!
One of the reasons Herman Cain is on the rise is because of Texas Governor Rick Perry's blunders. Perry's terrible debate performances and recent attacks by the liberal media have damaged his candidacy. Perry's poll numbers have dropped to the low teens to under 10%! Herman Cain has taken advantage of Perry's downfall by articulating his 9-9-9 tax reform plan. The 9-9-9 plan takes away all of the federal taxes and replaces them with a 9% corporate tax, 9% income tax, and 9% sales tax. We will dissect his plan in the near future. Herman Cain also has never run for office. He has a strong record of business experience that our country desperately needs.
This past Sunday, Herman Cain was on Meet the Press with liberal David Gregory. It's nice to see that a liberal didn't try to paint Cain as someone who hated African Americans and skipped the draft for the Vietnam War. I still cannot get over how repulsive the interview socialist Lawrence O'Donnell gave to Herman Cain. Back on subject, Herman Cain is finally the one who has the guts to say that the liberals are destroying the country on purpose. Cain states, "The objective of the liberals is to destroy this country. It is their mission. Because they do not believe in a stronger America, in my opinion. Yes."
The Tea Party needs to make a decision soon about who is the anti-Romney candidate. Is it Herman Cain, Rick Perry, or someone else? Herman Cain seems to be the guy. If he remains one of the top tier candidates in the polls by late November, he has a great chance of winning the nomination. However, Herman Cain cannot win without full Tea Party support. When the Tea Party states that they cannot endorse, this is false. They were instrumental in the victories of Senators Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Ron Johnson, and Mike Lee. Now, the Tea Party needs to step it up and endorse the right anti-Romney candidate to represent the Republican ticket in 2012. America cannot afford someone who represents Wall St. and big corporations. It is a long campaign and anything can happen, so who will be the anti-Romney candidate? Time is running out!
It is not a solution at all.
You dont give a death sentence for misdemeanors. How silly. It sounded silly. He looked silly. And it was quite revealing.
Now he says it was not a joke. He said it may be a fence..it may be electric. He said he “is not walking away from that idea.”...so..a joke? no...it was not.
Explain how it is not? You cross the border illegally your zapped? Comprende?
I also propose towers at mile intervals and track enemy movement and shoot lasers if they can somehow get past the electric fence. If not the fence idea than at least militarize the damn border. Other 3rd world countries can do it, I’d think we could at least attempt to do it.
Please understand. I want No immigrant to come into this country illegally. And I certainly understand and share the frustration with our problems on the border.
I am known to be pretty radical about the border- but really if there was a way to use deadly force- electric fence or what have you to secure the border- without getting innocents hurt I would seriously be all for it. Those that enter illegally know they are breaking the law- there are many, many legal ways into this country and as far as I am concerned those that enter illegally are paid for.
I am sure Cain was kidding about the lethal part of the electric fence proposal, but if he wasn’t he is definately my man if he can do it without consequences to innocents.
Si..comprehende....still. I have friends and family who have had illegals working for them for years on their ranches. It humanizes them. To me at least. They are parents, children, grandparents. The foreman for one friend has been with her over 20 years. The priest and town doctor come to the ranch every Sunday to offer communion and medical care. The foreman has been sending his paycheck home to mexico to educate his children and take care of them...now grandchildren. I do not want him to be here illegally either. But he is here. Also, the sheriff is oft times with the priest and doctor on sunday.
Your friends and family are law-breakers. And if I was King...they’d be needing a lawyer.
You want the death penalty for a misdemeanor? Really? You can want that if you want. It wont go here. Period. Not gonna happen in this lifetime.
Your friends are undermining this country. The jobs they have that are held by illegals should go to citizens. The illegals should have stayed in their country and fixed it. Mexico is not a wasteland; it is a country rich in natural resources and could be a great country if the people chose to stand up to their government and forge a new government.
Illegals are humans, some of them are great humans- but we do not need them, cannot afford them and they are bringing this country down.
In another you condone American's ( your friends and family.....) employing ILLEGAL aliens....
Personally I don't call breaking the law "character building"
The fact is it should not be a misdemeanor to illegally enter this country. It should be one of the most serious offenses there is. We need to secure our borders, and I am willing to do what it takes to do so.
I am sorry. My fault for not articulating the fact that I do not condone anyone coming in to this country illegally.
Seems like it would be simple to implement safely. If the illegals want to cross and get killed it’s on them and you just know Mexico will try to badmouth the US saying we are killing innocent disenfranchised Mexican migrant workers to turn the wrath of the world against the US.
Tammy, I understand exactly what you are saying. We agree no one should come here illegally. We disagree on how to secure our borders. We can do that. It does not make me right and you wrong. We just disagree.
You are absolutely correct that it will never happen here, never be allowed- and that means you know that Cain was not serious about the lethal part of electrifying the fence. You are beating a horse that you know is dead and rotting. If you don’t like Cain, that is fine- but to say he seriously wants to kill people that cross illegally is bunk and you know it.
I agree with alot of what you are saying with some exceptions. In the first place, where these ranchers live, you try to find gringos...Americans, to ride those fences, fix them, run cattle. They dont exist. They wont do it. Few of the hands are from here. Many of the ranches in the hill country are huge and run by widows. The workers are honest and hard working ...if they could find more americans to work the ranches they would hire them. And when they do.they do hire them. They are few and far between. Most of the young men from that area grow up and leave for cities.
Not sure what you are meaning by that comment....
But here's some facts...Fiscal year 2011 saw 396,906 deportations, the largest number in the history of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement; of those, 216,698 had been convicted of crimes.
Included...
* 44,653 convicted of "drug-related crimes"
* 35,927 convicted of driving under the influence
* 5,848 aliens convicted of sexual offenses
* 1,119 convicted of homicide
---------------
And you apparently condone this crap.
