Indeed, Furet came to see that the French Revolution was a very bad thing, all in all. Bad for the workers, bad for the bourgeoisie, bad for the French people.

What did the French Revolution ultimately create? A pile of headless corpses and a tyrant.

While it may once have existed in the sociological sense of the term (you could talk about people in certain kinds of work with certain levels of income and certain conditions of life), it never existed in the way Marx wanted: the “workers” never thought of themselves that way. They never had “class consciousness” that would enable them to advance their “class interests.”

Human beings, by and large, see themselves as individuals. This is because they are individuals, having been created by God to be unique individuals. This is the problem with collectivism: It doesn't have anything to do with human nature.

From the Occupy San Francisco rally Oct 15th in front of San Francisco City Hall.

All they want is... everything for free, since they are "rights".

Most attempted leaders of the “working class” are total trust fund kids. The most likely revolutionaries they embroil in their nihilism are the NON-working class.

Us working class folks got jobs to go to.

Those non working people got checks to cash and nothing better to do than to “occupy” Wall Street.

“There have been very successful right-wing revolutions (Italian fascism, for example, or the 1979 Iranian Revolution that gave us the frightfully reactionary Islamic Republic, or Lenin’s coup d’etat”

None of those are “right wing” unless you mean the “right wing” of left wing moonbattery.
