A bear tore a piece off of my shed this summer. Don't know why, there's nothing interesting in it. The summer before a bobcat spent two hours napping in my driveway about 20 feet from my kitchen window. I have never seen a mountain lion but they have been seen around town. Their numbers are fairly high around here.

Is that enough recent wildlife for whatever point you are trying to make?

Or is this the rural only survival?

Skunks come in different disguises.

Some folks are ready for some things, and clueless about the others.

Some just take it as it comes and treat all alike.

I postulate that anyone with a good, basic understanding of nature, physics, and life can manage in most environments, city or country.
