Two hours after President Barack Obama cited Rev. Martin Luther Kings advice that Americans not question each others love of country, his spokesman demanded that GOP legislators put country before party by ending their opposition to the presidents spending plans.
Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest made the demand during an afternoon press conference called to tout the presidents three-day bus tour through counties in swing-states Virginia and North Carolina.
The bus tour starts Monday and is intended to magnify the medias coverage of poll-tested provisions in Obamas proposed $446 billion, one-year stimulus bill, the American Jobs Act. For example, the measure seeks the expenditure of $35 billion to employ up to 400,000 teachers for the year prior to Obamas reelection vote.

Only the GOP has to “follow the rules”. Obama doesn’t follow rules. He thinks he’s King.
Republicans are putting country before party when they oppose Obama’s Jobs bill.
The Country is in debt and more borrowing only put it farther in debt. Previous bills to put Americans to work were more mney pissed away with little or no benefit.
How will this be different?
$446 billion, one-year stimulus bill, the American Jobs Act. For example, the measure seeks the expenditure of $35 billion to employ up to 400,000 teachers for the year prior to Obamas reelection vote.
Gee that sounds great until we look at it.
It’s for one year leading up to Obama’s election, where does the money come from after that? Its money spent for Obama’s re-election fund is what it is.
446 Billion, 35 goes to the teachers. Which of Obama’s pet project Unions, gets the other 400 billion?
The jobs bill isn’t a new bill at all, It’s just another 445 Billion dollars Obama can toos in the trash.
Hey Josh....f@@@ you.
E-damn-nuff of these aholes..........
It’s a stimulus to get him through the election. If he somehow magically gets it passed, it causes a slight quick relief of economic woes by sweeping them under the rug really quickly, and if it doesn’t pass, which is much more likely, he’ll be able to demagogue against Congress, which is what he’s already doing.
