IF Congress ever decides to IMPEACH. There will —or ought be legal cases to try the individuals IMPEACHED. Criminal trials. IF there are trials of any of the individuals I am convinced that the ACLU, and their umbrella groups, will insist upon such legal cases be pushed to SCOTUS. This is thinking beyond what has happened or even what ought happen to the results of any hoped for independent investigation.
For the present -you are very right—the politicized Court has nothing to do with the process-they are the vultures in the trees.
I think you call it about as I would. I am yet hopeful that Roberts was giving cover to an allum -on what he deemed
either unimportant— or futile. (the eligibility issue) I do suspect the Court cannot be happy with the 0 for his contempt
and in that I find a slim hope that the Court may not continue to defer to the Executive ,and I pray they will honor the OATH administered and defend the Constitution —not the man in the Oval Office.

What I saw was a video interview that had been translated. Their government spokesman was Irate.
I mean IRATE.
If I can find it I will be sure to get it to you. It may take me time though. As I said, I haven;t heard anything else on it, i think it is more a political silencing than anything between Obama and mexico. he didn’t want their anger spilling out against him.
They must have made some deal.

I think your suspicions about a deal are well founded. Maybe they were reminded about the untold wealth that awaits those enlightened enough to be patient.
