Steve Jobs started everything software and hardware manufacturing in Silicon Valley with American employees and contractors.

He didn’t want to move jobs overseas. He had to remain in existence, to compete and keep Apple alive.

If American tax and regulation policy were half as innovative as Steve Jobs least successful innovation, then we would not have seen the jobs flee to offshore locations.

Why Steve Jobs was a liberal is I believe because the Republican Party, their establishment is retarded. The Stupid Party is an embarrassment. I remember being in California during Reagan. People came around to the Conservative brand during Reagan. They started to understand the political philosophy of Reagan. Because Reagan was not from the Republican establishment; Reagan was smart, brilliant, passionate and wise. Both Jobs and Wozniak received medals from President Reagan.

How long did he try to keep the jobs here? Probably a single board meeting. But that does not matter, it was the right and profitable thing to do.

He deserves all the kudo's in the world for ALL he did that created the products, and built them at the lowest possible price.

It was no hard choice though, it was more profitable to do it over seas and he did.

Oh, and one important point... many yelled "monopoly" at MS if they went anywhere near making computers to or assisting in the manufacture of them with better pricing on the OS. APPLE not only demanded they were the only ones who could legally make apple machines and the OS.... and software. They wanted the whole chain of money, even selling in their stores!!

Apple filed suit at the drop of a hint anyone was making apple clones or software for Apples. So be honest with yourself, Jobs was a business carbon copy of MS, just meaner about the OS, hardware, and software. And at least as fast to sue as MS if they got the slightest hint their stuff was being infringed.

He was MS, jut slicker legally at retaining control of ALL of it.
