The brain loves opiates. You can get hooked on Oxycontin in a very short time with steady dosage, as soon as two weeks if you have an addictive personality.
It's very, very sad. I've known far too many good nurses who fell to addiction. It always causes me to have a personal 'gut check' regarding my own practice and my ability to handle stress. I do it by writing and building stuff out of wood. It works for me. I still love my job and wouldn't dream of any other career- unless the good Lord calls me to something else. I am His servant, and will go where He tells me.
Interesting. And sad.

Thanks for the kind words. It appeared to me no one was maintaining a consolidated list of 60Gunner's adventures, so I did it.
There are so many entries on the list now that I'm thinking about turning it upside down and listing the most recent adventure first. Or maybe giving the user a choice.
