IF something like this ever happened it would probably take place this time of the year. Like late October? Much easier to controll the masses during the winter month. Food supplies could be cut off and what would people do for food? Not to mention snow would slow down all the snow state if noone removed it or put gravel down.
Just think about it. That is how they could control a large population. Even a heavily armed but not so prepared population.
I think the good guys would probably eventually win but not before a lot of people were killed or mamed and/or half starved to death.
Winter ain’t too bad in the southern and south western states.
There are more ways to skin a cat besides sticking the cats head in a boot jack & yanking hard on the tail. Start thinking about irregular warfare/resistance.
