I just did a quick scan of this Document: a Guide to Naturalization.

NOWHERE does it say that illegals are banned from applying.

the only mention of illegsl is that if they have been ORDERED deported THEN they are inelegible.

Seems there needs to be a Law that ILLEGALS, PERIOD, may NOT apply for Citizenship.
That would end all of this BS.

Do you have any idea what an "LPR" is? Clearly not.

General Naturalization Provisions - The basic requirements for naturalization that every applicant must meet, unless a member of a special class. General provisions require an applicant to be at least 18 years of age and a lawful permanent resident with five years of continuous residence in the United States, have been physically present in the country for half that period, and have established good moral character for at least that period.

"LPR" = Green Card holder.

ILLEGAL aliens are not considered 'lawful permanent residents", regardless how much Perry and his supporters wish it so.
