I though that the NASDAQ was supposed to support the true spirit of American entrepreneurship, with its emphasis on young, innovative, cutting-edge companies, many of which are based on novel, 21st century technologies.

Then what’s the Shiptar cannibal savage thug Hashim Thaci doing ringing the NASDAQ bell? No wonder the market went way down!!!! Investors were afraid of an abrupt reversion from the 21st century to Stone Age savagery. They were afraid of a descent into violence that would make any economic or technological progress utterly impossible. Only the shortness of Thaci’s visit prevented a historic market panic.

Still, all in all, Thaci’s evil seems to be getting to him. He’s only 43, but looks a lot older. (Albright and Hillary used to think he was “so cute”, back in 1999.) Maybe we won’t have to deal with him for very much longer.
