Exactly! Welcome to the 2nd dark ages. It’s time we started looking out for ourselves. After guns and plenty of ammo, a propane powered generator could keep your tent, cabin, travel trailer, or house in lights, refrigeration and heat, maybe air conditioning. I hope you have plenty of food for emergencies. Then incinerate whoever did this!!!

A propane generator would work until the propane ran out. Then....nothing.

In the meantime, your gennie sound and lights would make you a magnet for every marauding band.

I just saw this article today on SHTFPLan.com, about refrigeration. There’s an embedded video from youtube, it’s simple, taking two terra cotta pots one inside another, with sand between them, with a damp towel over them, and can be used for keeping items cool (The video guy got down to the high 40’s, on a 92º day). Maybe worth a view.
