Actually, it is more populated than Howard Dean's Vermont or Dick Cheney's Wyoming, and durn close to Joe Biden's Delaware. Add to that the fact that is geographically the largest, and has a lot more infrastructure and trade issues to deal with than many of the 48 contiguous states.

I will say this. I am a Palin supporter who would be just about as happy with a Cain nomination, and you will not hear me saying anything bad about the Hermanator. She could be his Energy Secretary, or he could be OMB or Commerce, his pick. (VP is out since some foreign policy expertise would be desirable at that spot.)
