Thank you for this very good post. I’ve only read the first few comments so far, but I see where they’re going. Again.
Perry is my second choice, after Palin, but I have great respect for him that daily or weekly ups and downs do not change. On the other hand, I have some serious doubts about a lot of Freepers that I didn’t have before. I’m not sure what’s happened in here - I’ve been around since 1999, just not a member that long. People don’t see the forest for the trees? One or two spindly trees? They’d rather live under Marxism? Well, I wouldn’t.
Keep your eyes on the real enemy, folks, would you?
Their eyes are fully engaged and know well what's at stake. Never underestimate Freepers just because the dust storms fly.
Thank you CatDancer.
Hey, not only are we heartless but we’re useless idiots. What an odd way to convince people your guy in now The One.
That statement is from Perry himself in the speech where he talked about bi-national insurance.
And Romney makes it quite clear that Romneycare was a Massachusetts STATE decision.
I’ve been on FR for over 12 years (posted under my husband’s name for about a year and signing my name after my comment before posting). FR didn’t have all the features is has today.
I’ve never used some of them although I do bookmark some things and have used some for “capturing” areas of interest (Castro, Chavez, global warming, education, China, etc).
I make comments about myself in posts: I do not lie or have any agenda other than keeping this country from going the way of Venezuela.
I’ve lived in many states over the years (Texas now) so by listing a state on an “about” page really isn’t informative.
Occasionally I look at someone’s homepage when they’re an especially aggressive poster. And I have found that for the most part, they don’t really shine much light on who is posting.
And regarding your quote from what I believe is a 2001 quote taken from a long speech given by a Texas governor to the president of a country that shares 1250 miles and is our country’s largest trading partner — the open borders remark is not unusual and it is not “no” borders. People have been walking and diving across that border for a long, long time. If you choose to change the meaning of what open border means please let the forum know so we understand what you understand it to mean.
I hope that helps.
