I've been pretty dismissive of Santorum but he deserves kudos for answering this question so clearly. The Daily Kos troops have been trolling this video and have been ranking it down. I was thinking FR could help counteract the KOS effect. I'm surprised this wasn't posted. I hope all of you take a moment to click like on this video. Thank you.

I could never forgive Santorum for stabbing Toomey in the back and supporting Specter...but I am now reconsidering.

I’m also seeing a little bit of second looks from freepers in regards to Santorum. Perry is imploding on illegals, Bachman has not caught on, Romney is Romney (and Christie is worse), Newt is brilliant but a global warming sleazebag, Cain is great (but so was Alan Keyes), huntsman is an Obama plant, and i don’t think Sara is running.

Homosexual troops are about 1% of the population. Who cares what they think, so long as they do their jobs like any other troops. Not the federal gubmint's job to jack these a-holes off.

Once again, someone who's in the national spotlight misses a golden opportunity to speak about the biggest threat homos pose to our military...HIV in the blood supply.

When I was still in, IIRC we had a blood test once a year. Obviously a queerbait would have plenty of time to go out and contract HIV, and be deployed before his blood could be tested the next year. Because it's impossible to ensure a certified HIV-free supply of blood at all times, once in the hot zone that HIV-positive homo could be called upon at any time to roll up his sleeve and donate blood to his wounded "buddies". Thus, wounded soldiers would be exposed not only to enemy fire, but HIV from The Obammunist's butt boys as well.

Now, before anyone starts screaming that HIV can be transmitted through needles, heterosexual sex, etc., I say yes, that's true. But, according to CDC stats, found easily enough online, AIDS is still, and always has been, an overwhelmingly male homosexual disease. Homos are the biggest transmitters of HIV/AIDS, and by allowing them in the service at all, we're endangering every service member that goes into a combat situation, where there's not always a tested and certified blood supply.

No, I don't want to see DADT brought back...I want things the way they were when I joined in the 80s. Homosexuality is incompatible with military service, and all homos should be dishonorably discharged.

That's what I want to hear one of the candidates say. But I ain't holding my breath.

Yea, I like Santorum, but he gave pretty weak answers on this issue and the immigration issue, there's no comparison between heterosexuality and homosexuality, one is normal, the other is an utter aberration and should be treated as such. Servicemen will always talk about their girlfriends, wives, etc. because it is the normal thing to do, homos should only talk about their partners in the comfort of a shrink's office.

I thought the answer was good but an good politician (which there are none in today's field with the possible exception of Newt) would have thanked the soldier for his service in Iraq and then answered the question the way he did
