It’s Texas’s job to fix the entire national border?

Rick Perry stated last night, Texans have spent 400 million dollars on the border issue.
He said he has repeatedly lobbied the Fed for National guard and Border patrol agents.

He even handed Obama (valerie jarret) a bill for all the illegals sitting in Texas jails!

Reagan thought he bartered a deal exchanging amnesty for 3 million illegals for increased border protection and law enforcement. The Democrats reneged on the deal and GOP Senator Alan Simpson didn't follow through.

We should have learned from Reagan's mistake, but many didn't including a slew of Texans. Your state is facing a $10 billion shortfall in 2012. In a few short years, it will be another California largely because of illegal immigrants.

If we don't start securing the borders and removing incentives this country will become a third world hellhole with California and Texas leading the way.

Hey, buddy, I’ve flipped burgers; I’ve changed shit-stained bedsheets in nursing homes; I’ve emptied and cleaned bed pans; I’ve shucked oysters; I’ve weather-proofed building foundations with tar (do you have any idea how much fun that is in the summer in Southern California or, even more fun, Louisiana?); I’ve done all manner of construction work.

I did whatever I had to do to take care of me and mine. And I don’t regret a minute of it, because it was the right thing to do.

And I went to college while I was doing it, and got my degree when I was 31 years old, and then started the career I’ve followed for the last 30 years.

Not all of us are the lazy misfits you seem to so readily identify with the American people.

Puhleeze! Let us clarify something. These people are foreigners—not even out-of-state, U.S. nationals but aliens. Our “own” people can’t get in-state tuition but illegals can? Now THAT is heartless!

C. Edmund Wright apparently is a RomneyBOT or PerryBOT
and supports illegal aliens while claiming to be
“conservative” and insulting Americans.

The only way to halt illegal aliens fromeven WANTING to come here is To make Mexico a better place for them to want to live.

You can take away all the so called incentives, but as long as Mexico is a hopeless ****pit they will still come.

Perry is AGAINST illegal immigration.

It's like saying that I am AGAINST people breaking into your house, but once they're in, I'ss be happy to help them take whatever of yours they want. And if you disagree with that, you don't have a heart.

I was moderately pro-Perry. Now I am back to being in favor of the eventual Republican nominee.

>>> In a nation of 300 million people, don’t you think we’d find enough to do those jobs for a living wage? If not, do you ask yourself why?
And do you really think its healthy to import another country’s poverty stricken illiterates to fill those spots? >>>

Healthy is not the question. Reality is. Supply and demand is pure, different notions of what’s fair or what’s healthy is not.

Nothing happens in a vacuum and so much is connected. What’s a living wage? And if these jobs don’t pay that, why not? If you’ve ever as a consumer shopped for a hotel room or groceries or contracting services on the basis of price, then you as the consumer is who decides what the wage is. If you shop on price, it is you the consumer who dictates that certain jobs just don’t pay a good wage because you have decided that good or service is just not worth it. Supply and demand.

Nothing wrong with that by the way, it is what it is.

And it’s more culture than wage actually. Americans, and this is not all bad, are simply not raised to accept doing the same repetitive rote job year after year. This, and the reality of 99 weeks unemployment benefits and having your mortgage paid for you and food stamps and so on — all equal a work force that will not produce the goods and services at a price point that the American consumer finds acceptable.

It’s a very complicated formula, like all businesses are.

I'm afraid it'll have the opposite effect: Perry's travails will leave a power vacuum that Romney will fill. Doing in Perry will leave Romney much stronger. ,

Romney will fade after NH. He is a blathering empty suit. He couldn't even beat the unbelievably pathetic McCain.

Does any think Mitt will have a chance against a real conservative? (my choice is Sarah) No one can inspire and fire up people like Sarah.

Except for the hard core left and the parasites (i.e. 28.454% of the populace), people will be seriously searching for someone they believe will truly want to turn us back towards Liberty, and most importantly defeat the Marxist.

The vast majority of people are not focused on politics yet. ALL polls are total B.S at this point.

By the time people start to focus, Sarah will have announced and already be barnstorming across our Republic. She will easily convince the vast majority of Independents and many other non-conservatives that she ready for the job. She will earn their trust and their vote.

Sarah knows Romney is not going anywhere. She is preparing her upcoming battles with the elites. She will crush them all.

C. Edmund Wright is typical of many of the Perry backers (including builders, poultry processors and grocery owners): as long as I can benefit from illegal immigrants I couldn't care less how it negatively affects the country.

Article III, Section 3, Paragraph 1, of the Constitution of the United States:
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them,
or, in adhering to their Enemies, giving them aid and comfort.
"

The "aid and comfort" prong of treason has been interpreted
by SCOTUS as requiring proof of four elements:
1. an intent to betray the United States (which can be inferred from);
2. an overt act;
3. witnessed by two people; and
4. that provides aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.

If Texas starts to slow the flood, the rest of the country can bail the water back out by getting rid of the incentives for ILLEGAL ALIENS to come or stay here. AS far as I am concerned any person who ever came here illegally (and their offspring) should FOREVER be ineligible for citizenship.. They are, after all, CRIMINALS..

>>> Not all of us are the lazy misfits you seem to so readily identify with the American people.>>>

I too have done a lot of this type work - swept parking lots, bar tended, loaded trucks, mowed grass, built decks, etc. — but I hate to break it to you, that makes us the exception, not the rule.

There are not enough who will - and not enough consumers who will pay enough for those services - to support the industries. Not sure why in the world you are taking this personally. If it doesn’t apply to you, then it doesn’t apply to you. I never said YOU —
