But Perry won’t even crack down on and fine the *businesses* that employ illegals. He won’t crack down on Sanctuary Cities. He won’t do crap.
He whines. He whines that Obama isn’t doing enough when there is PLENTY that Texas herself could do to address this problem. Instead, he implements a program that’s going to only ENCOURAGE illegals to stay and cost money.
When Jan Brewer came out swinging, the contrast was laid bare. Here was a state legislature and governor who were serious about addressing the problem.
And Perry just looked vaguely uncomfortable with Arizona’s actions and said that he didn’t think that this would be a good idea for Texas.
I agree with Perry that this is the responsibility of the Federal Government; however, when the FG doesn’t step up, it is the responsibility of the individual states to defend themselves.
