>>Texans want Perry because on their over sized egos. Now I love most Texans even when they are clearly talking out their ten gallon hats.<<
Your stereotypes prove you know nothing about us. We’re just like everybody else, only maybe a bit more conservative. And I’ve lived in Texas all my life.
I don’t recall ever seeing ANYONE wearing a ten gallon hat, except maybe in a show or at the circus. lol
The fact that you protest of words that were clearly a metaphor shows otherwise.
By the way I lived for 5 years in Corpus. Good people. And being extra proud of one’s state instant a bad thing it’s a trait common to good people those from Alabama and Tennessee share it (though Texans beat either them hands down)and I found the vast majority of them to be good people too, but it does make them a bit blind to the needs and desires of people from elsewhere. Now I am a transplant here in New Mexico and I am very proud of our Hispanic Governor Susana Martinez who has way more ‘balls’ on taking on illegals than even your favorite Texan Rick Perry.
I lived in San Angelo and Menard. I saw plenty of large cowboy hats - ten gallon or not. There is an ad running right now for a hog hunting family from Texas. Daddy is sporting a ten gallon.
