....."Martin Luther King, Jr. may have been a womanizer, but he was not a Communist.".....
Sorry, but it was JEH that tied him to the communist groups through wire taps and following him. He was more than friendly with some bad figures in the '60's.

There is no debate that Dr. King had many Communists among his followers. It is well documented and, as I said, they used him and disposed of him when they were finished with him.
It is also documented that Dr. King counted many Republicans among his supporters as well. Charlton Heston, George Romney and the GOP Senator from Maryland (name slips my mind) who replaced Senator Tydings, racist hero of the left who took down Joe McCarthy, are just three of many which come immediately to mind.
Dr. King was a registered Republican. I don't believe it was ever established that he was a card carrying Communist.

I had to look it up. John Marshall Butler was the early supporter of Dr. King who replaced Millard Tydings in the U.S. Senate from Maryland. Tydings was so racist that he wouldn't even allow a black person in the same room with him unless it was to serve a beverage or something of that nature.
But the left lionizes the s.o.b. for what he did to Senator Joseph McCarthy.
