I don't know how you came upon my comments, but if you bother to look at the title of the thread, we have a group of people here who are using the same strained logic to make one of our best candidates ineligible for President. That is why I am wasting precious seconds debating people like yourself using tortures argument to smear him.
The only Constitutional issue here is the fact that people can't take what Article II Section I Paragraph 5 means. There is no qualifier for anyone's parents to be Natural Born for that person to become President.
I understand even less conservatives attacking others conservatives over issues that are very obviously Constitutional. If non-NBCs are allowed to be president, let’s have Netanyahu run. I like him a lot better than Rubio.
Perhaps you revised the argument because you were typing in a hurry, and what you meant to say was that "There is no qualifier for anyone's parents to be citizens for that person to become President."
Either a mistake in meaning or a mistake in understanding on your part. No one is suggesting that a candidates PARENTS have to be "natural born citizens." The PARENTS can be naturalized citizens. They just have to be plain old citizens when the child is born.
His citizenship must be a characteristic of his nature, not in accordance with whatever artificial boundary he happens to be born within.
