married and tainted to being too deferential to the Mexicans.

This issue is not the same in Texas as it is in the rest of the country. There were Tejanos at the Alamo and at San Jacinto. FACT. The issue is not race, but loyalty. There are Many Good Freepers who are Hispanic, but never mention crap like La Raza. Those in Texas illegally that want to contribute are not the problem, the ones that fly the Mexico Flag and collect our financial support are another issue. This problem extends to some other groups.

Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.

Actually, I would say this is true about the entire immigration issue everywhere - not just Texas - but get flamed for trying to point this out right here on FR sometimes.

Illegals come in two flavors: those that want to work and those that want to soak us - and they should be treated totally differently IMO.

I live in Alabama and was born in Florida (Air Force family) but I’ve always wanted to be a Texan. We were stationed in San Antonio for awhile and I fell in love with Texas. However I met and married an Alabama boy so here I am. My parents both lie in Texas soil. Does that qualify me?

I’ve only been to Texas a few times on business, but I think I have more in common with Texans than with the people of my home state - 0bamastan.

Those in Texas illegally that want to contribute are not the problem...

Oh, they most certainly are.

Texas is not where you were born, but a State of Mind, Heart and Attitude.

Propositional nations (besides being oxymoronic) don't last too long.
