With Eric Holder ordering actions by the Justice Department and the FBI, no justice in the Solyndra matter will ever be possible and nobody will ever go to trial. Any defendants, to save their own hides, could easily expose the President and his cronies as accessories to the crime.

I can envision a scenario in which Obama/Holder throw some important players under the bus (via indictments) just to get this story behind them by 2012. In that case, they will deal with the issue, but in a way they can control and manipulate. The DOE head, e.g.

...I don't doubt they will try, but the problem for Obama & Biden is that they personally took part in this scam - not just in some "unrecorded, behind closed doors" White House meeting - but in televised, public speeches from Solyndra's HQ. Jon Stewart sums up the liberals gut-wrenching angst about this ugly fact very humorously in his "Gift wrapped scandal the GOP has been waiting for" rant the other evening.
