I don’t know whether you get the Fox Business Network, but I have switched to “IMUS”. Got sick of Scarborough who’s track record of predictions sucks, along with his Morph into being a West Side Elie.
Rick Perry has some explaining to do and it’s not over the ‘Ponzi’ scheme/ss issue. Since last night, charges of free trips, being in the hip pocket of donars, are spreading faster than the Texas wildfires; in addition, that comment on in-state tuition was a shot in his foot. If he doesn’t address these issues, Scarborough is right; he won’t last.
Let’s hope he’s right, Perry is not a game changer, he will not do what needs to be done. Only a true tea party person can change Washington, and if we don’t, we’re done.
...Meanwhile, that same summer, star up-and-coming Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough, recently divorced under charges of infidelity, had unexpectedly decided to resign from office six months after being re-elected. Shortly thereafter an intern on his Florida staff was found dead --in the office --under mysterious circumstances with allegations of cover-ups by the local authorities and the quack medical examiner. And nobody in DC even raised an eyebrow.link
I respectfully disagree. The immunization issue is moot. That’s been thoroughly explained and is not even law. That issue is over. Gov Perry has more serious issues to address today. The charges being leveled at him by Politico, Sarah Palin etc and the in-state tuition remark he made are going to sink him if he doesn’t adequately explain them or dispute them.
I don’t trust Perry with the presidency...but I don’t trust Scarborough with milk money.
Well, I guess. Nearly all of these primaries are over by the end of March. I think the last GOP primary season to go to the convention was 1976. If his point is Perry will flame out, that’s dumb. Whatever you think of Perry’s politics, he’s well-financed, and he’s pretty well known. He isn’t going anywhere. He’ll either be the last man standing or the 2nd to last man standing.
The infidelity spoken of refers to wild orgies in FL with massive amounts of coke on hand. There are many eye witness accounts of Joe being a full participant in both. He is a POS and skated where he should have been jailed or at the very least publicly disgraced.
Get with it man, where you been? Arizona is the new Texas, don’t mess with Texas, ya right, more like don’t mess with Arizona. You guys lost the title down there, sorry ...
(1) Scarborough resigned days after Klasutis died, Condit held on for months.
(2) Klasutis' body was found hours after her death, while Levy was missing throughout the whole controversy.
(3) Klasutis was almost 30 and married and her family had no desire to drag her through the mud and do interviews, while the Levy family was happy to talk to the media as long as they held out the hope that their daughter was still alive.
(4) The Condit story had been running for months during a slow news summer, while 9/11 happened less than a week after Scarborough's resignation.
All that being said, Klasutis death was pretty mysterious and convenient, and the press did not pursue it very actively.
Governor Perry has to address it with the actual reasons and those that you listed are absolutely reasonable.
I was just discussing with my brother that Texas is quite different from all the states in that there has always been a significant Hispanic presence. Texas has a rich history with Mexico and there are valid and logical reasons for the various programs regarding immigrants. However, other states/citizens are not taking that into consideration. The only thing everyone sees is illegals poring into our country and destroying things. Drugs, murder etc are the things that are making the news and it appears that Gov Perry is not addressing those things and/or is ok with it, by his blanket statements. But he's not addressing only Texans now; he is addressing the entire nation and so he must clarify.
That's the only point I was making. I apologize if it seemed that I was one of the ones telling Texas how to handle the immigration issue/problems.
Rick Perry is a fine Governor and, at this point, he has my support. I still want to see the clarification on the accusations of 'trips, gratuities, etc' that he allegedly accepted during his tenure and hope he clarifies that as well.
