The big test is due in October, so perhaps this is a Democrat October surprise, where Obama and his science genius energy czar Steven Chu announce to the world that they have solved the energy problem.
Chu was reported to have met with cold fusion folks back in June of this year.

Only a few weeks before Rossi's E-Cat plant is scheduled to be revealed. I'm getting increasingly bored with the hype. Either Rossi demonstrates a working model of at least 1MW capacity in October (preferably 1MW electric rather than just thermal), or he should be ignored until he does.

The Inventor claims he has found a new and much improved way to create energy, but will not submit his research in any scientific journal, The Journal of Nuclear Physics (the name of Rossi's blog) doesn't count?
