Not only is television selling products, it is selling despair to every home in this nation; without God, without joy, without peace.

Yours is an astute observation. It pays to be aware of the memes, the main recurrent themes that are being pushed out across our media, arts and our educational institutions.

The aim is to create emptiness and hopelessness. The question then becomes: what is to fill that emptiness and redeem that hopelessness? The answer is the stuff of nightmares.

Oh, the horror!

Calm down archy. Don’t be so heavy handed on the poor keyboard.

I would just rather see more fun programing and movies.

I just don’t want to see people being injured in crashes. Don’t need to see the inside of a jail. “Shark Week” does not turn me on. Nor does “Hillbilly Handfishin’”

There are so many ‘reality’ shows where someone is always pissed at somebody else. Not my type of entertainment.

Also, did you know that when cable first came out, it was advertised as “commercial free T.V.”.

Most of us, and our kids, spend many hours in front of the tube. If only the hours actually taught us something, while making it fun. Those are the ones I try to watch.

I do spend a lot of time searching...and sometimes I have to just shut the damn thing off.
