But seriously. I'm under no delusions about whose interests Perry is paid to represent, and other than a couple basic issues, it's not mine or my family's.

other than a couple basic issues Those can count for a lot (e.g. the second amendment). Finding a political candidate that is not paid other than $5 donations is going to be tough. Howard Dean maybe? I am not fond of Perry's friends, e.g. Khan, and some of his positions, particularly his Aug 2001 speech to some mexicans. But I'm not going to toss him in the garbage over that.
