That day must have been especially overwhelming to you. It is one of those times that my older relatives would use the term, “There but for the grace of God..” Simply meaning, it could have been YOU and for whatever reason, you were spared. The fact that you remembered faces of people you met during the interview... so sad. It is almost haunting in a way... the man you saw on the elevator, the woman at a desk... did they get out or not? No, we won’t ever forget, Miss Marmelstein.
And I won’t have people (like the greasy fat-cat Bob Beckel) tell me to “get over it.” He really likes to say that!
My father’s generation refused to get over Pearl Harbor and I don’t plan on getting over 9/11.
