It was ruled by a MA court that Gay activity at Rest Stops is part of the Gay Lifestyle and not to be interrupted by the State Police. If you take a leak behind a tree because your bladder’s going to burst because of the sexual activity at the Rest Stops you’re a Sex Offender.

Great answer! I expected to see you take some heat for it, but nope.

For a long time, I had this as my tagline:

“Yes, as a matter of fact, what you do in the privacy of your bedroom IS my business.”

Man! THAT caused many a liberal FReeper head to explode.

HIDEOUS TO THE MAX FOR SURE.

And . . . nothing compared to what’s coming.

Folks of all combinations will be doing it in broad daylight in public parks and sidewalks.

Protestors for decency will be mobbed and killed.

Scripture is clear . . . worse than ever has been or ever will be again.

Exactly.

See post 42.

When liberals at FR challenge that tagline, I ask them:

Are we living in a better time now or when all 50 states had sodomy laws?

The apathy of what perverts do in the privacy of their own bedroom will (and HAS) adversely affected America.

If you don’t care what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom, then don’t come compalining to me what they do in thier own barracks.

“Yes, as a matter of fact, what you do in the privacy of your bedroom IS my business.”

Darn right it is our business what people do in their bedrooms and we have the ability and technology to monitor and prohibit such undesirable acts in public and in private.

As the parent of an adult, it likely doesn’t matter that you have raised your children with traditional values and that you don’t run.

The culture is strong. I know countless adult children of committed conservatives who did everything right and many of the children still ended up compromised in one way or another, if not totally destroyed. Those who were fortunate in the way their own children turned out still have to worry about the grandchildren.

However, it makes little difference where you live, AFAIK. The culture beckons to youth through media and academia and they cannot wait to run to the urban centers. Nor are the small towns all that free from these influences, any longer. Name the perversion or the destructive behavior and it is probably prevalent and visible everywhere.

The real worries come when the children are young adults, on their own and have begun to filter what they tell their parents about their lives. Even before that happens, we simply cannot read their minds and we cannot simply demand that they think in certain ways.

For every degenerate or person who just made poor choices, there are parents who tried their very best. This was true even 50 years ago and probably before that.

I don’t recall any court case supporting such.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Don’t see any provision whereby one religions free exercise may compel others to commit or restrict otherwise legal expression. Can a Jew order me to keep Kosher?

I expected to see you take some heat for it, but nope.

I think more of us are starting to understand. Too bad this won't fit in a tag line...

There are three types of people involved in this sort of discussion:
1. Those who can see the end of the road from the beginning
2. Those who can't, but who trust God to steer us away from trouble
3. Those who think they're smarter than God, who steer us wrong and get us all in a bad part of town

There are always too few in the first category to keep us out of trouble. If there had been enough in the second category, we could've prevented those in the third from ruining our nation. This is why John Adams declared, "This Constitution is written for a moral and religious people. It is inadequate for the governing of any other kind."

“Those who can see the end of the road from the beginning.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some would argue (me, for instance) that the road is far too long for any of us to see the ending. And way too dark.
But we have (God-given) headlights - just as a car - and we CAN see 100 yards down the road. And that leads us to your second point:
“Those who can’t, but who trust God to steer us away from trouble.”
Great observations.
The benefit of sodomy laws was NOT to invade people’s living space and prevent them from committing homosexual acts behind closed doors, but was a societal censure against such acts. Our culture said homosexuality was wrong, and if you did it, nobody had better know about it. This was beneficial to everyone, as you so allude to a better time when we didn’t have such perverse sodomy waved in our faces.
Interesting observations by the author, and comments on the thread. Here are my thoughts:
One, homosexuals should not be legally allowed to adopt or foster children, nor produce them via IVF or any other non-natural means including surrogate mothers. So that solves most of this "perverts with kids" problems. Second, a couple of comments on the thread mention PDA - public displays of affection - by homosexuals. Of COURSE these people are doing it intentially to shove perversion on everyone! Obviously! It's war - war against God, war against normalcy, war against morality, and war against everyone who holds God and morality dear.
Those pushing the homosexual agenda are not finished with its destruction, people. They want our children. They want to call all the shots, and they want the entire world at their feet. They are mentally ill, and have embraced evil, and never had any intention of being left alone to be private. The very agenda is all about being public - and not allowing anyone else to live their own lives. It's past time for us to stand up and speak the truth. The only reason the homosexual agenda has such power is this one simple reason:
Not enough of US stood up against it.
What does the author want the government to do?
Does she want the police to arrest gay couples who appear in public? I don’t, even though I disapprove of their way of life.
Homosexuals are not “gay people”, for one thing, it is not an immutable identity, and “gay” means “happy and carefree” and the life of homosexuals is the exact opposite. Next, homosexuals should not be allowed to foster, adopt or conceive children via IVF, surrogate mothers, etc. So that right there stops a lot of what the author is writing about. The forced acceptance by legal degree is what is driving the homosexual agenda; that and the huge percentage of homosexuals who work in the media, entertainment industry, social services, and in education. And - they are driven to push the agenda. We must start pushing back.
How can she freely practice her religion if she cannot take her children to the pool without exposing herself and kids to lewd acts?
Furthermore, she has the responsibility to notify the authorities about these lewd acts has the first amendment right to protest using picket signs and a megaphone to warn the other good citizens about what happens in the park.
There is a solution.
We fight back, refuse to knuckle under, and we pray.
I’ve been in parks and beaches and seen homosexuals crawling out of the bushes, and worse.
Hiking trails, too.
It’s vile beyond belief what they want to do in public.
1) Lewd acts meeting a legal definition are already illegal.
2) Can’t yell Fire in a crowded movie house either. Our rights have limits when they start to affect other peoples rights. So the Jew cannot prevent me from eating Pork nor can the Muslim demand I pray 5 times a day. Nor can we imprison you for failure to attend church.
She does have a responsibility to notify police of Lewd and other illegal behaviors. She has the right to protest, picket and possibly to use a megaphone (time of day, location etc. dependent) She has a right to lobby for Laws to be changed.
But she doesn’t have a right to tell you or I to do anything because Her faith requires that you and I _______.
How do we fight judges? Even if we vote them out, the damage is done.
We are responsible citizens. We live by the rules...
I'm sure Stacy is a wonderful person and a great mom, but until she understands that she does NOT, she CANNOT, "live by the rules" we are going to continue to lose.
The "rules" in Massachusetts are 1) Perversion is heroic, 2) Good and evil are matters of personal opinion only, and 3) White Christians are oppressors who should be ashamed of their families, their heritage, and the societies they created.
Stacy is NOT living by the rules.
No, the damage is not done. It can, and must, be undone. History shows that civilizations come and go, and get rebuilt, or redone in another way. Nothing is ever static.
