Indeed. Las Vegas doesn’t spring up on the desert because of “the land”. For some reason this never dawns on people who want to “take back “their” land.” Maybe for the same reason that it never occurs to them to build it into a good place in the first place. All they know is to take or destroy what others have made. Same as the Middle East.
