You sure are a pretty intense person. I’m not calling out any religion or person in particular, I’m just describing what forms extremism can take on the political right. A good example of extreme religious views can be found all over the Muslim world. They have Sharia law....lack of tolerance....etc. This is extreme right wing stuff to me.

The federal government was empowered by the constitution to do three things: Protect the borders, handle interstate disputes, and conduct foreign policy. All other powers were left to the states. The constitution says nothing about a safety net. This power was granted to them by the people...and can be taken away by the people just as easily. With that said, I’m more against a congress and president that can’t balance their budget then the idea of a safety net.

Still, I agree that social programs should be closer to home. Unfortunately, my fellow countrymen do not support me on this (people love their social security). With the exception of Obama-Care, it’s hard to imagine any of the socail largese going away anytime soon so, I hit them with the math argument....which seems to have gotten their attention.

Now, dude: Calm down. You need to go running or something. I’m someone who probably mostly agrees with you. If you want to fight with someone, bring up some of your ex-girlfriends and your next wedding anniversary.

Read my profile... a major pet peeve is the exuberant display of ignorance. Today, you have that distinction. I'm not one to chill out in the middle of a discussion, nor will I back down when faced with falsehood.

You have a very strange view of conservatism... it conforms to an MSM template so I can guess where these views were nurtured. Once again, you are wrong to an extreme. Throughout the 20th Century, the Islamic world has aligned with the Socialist world. Why? They share a common view of the subjugation of man.

Have you ever heard how Iran got its name? It was changed by its leaders from Persia to align with Hitler's view of the supremacy of the aryan race. "Iran" was to show their membership of this race of men. The Grand Mufti of Iran was a major supporter of Hitler in WWII and, by some accounts, a partner behind "the final solution" for the Jews. I would remind you that contrary to liberal doublespeak, the Nazis were not conservatives, they were National Socialists.

The extremist examples you continue to show as condemnation of the right are actually leftists under different management.

You can keep your condescension out of a political discussion, if you please. It's meant to be disarming but is really just rude. I am passionate about the truth. Whether or not I get through to you, there are lurkers to consider.
