Dear Lauren:

See my post above yours. I prefer Herman Cain's approach. We need a border fence, to welcome the folks that are here legally, enforce our existing laws, and NO AMNESTY.

The flow of illegals is killing this country, on that we do agree!

As for educating, feeding, treating, and policing illegals, Texans have been picking up a huge chunk of that for the rest of the country already. Trying to find a way to get Mexico to foot part of that bill, especially since the WH won't close our borders, is an attempt to address the problem - instead of ignoring it.

All sanctuary cities have been footing the bill. Texas is not unique in this. I do want to assure you, however, that I *am* sympathetic to the illegal problem in TX.

Is that how Perry said "bi-national insurance" would work? Because I see it as a tremendous breech of American Sovereignty, especially with his open borders philosophy.

By the way, did he also want to give Mexico the bill for educating illegal aliens?

I can see it so clearly that he's been acting like a conservative for the last few months because he fully intended to enter the primaries. Sorry to say that you good Texans have a Juan McCain on your hands. I just hope you guys don't get sucked in like the Arizonans did. All those delegates to the National Convention would be a terrible thing to waste.
