Now if you’re talking about TODAY, NO, YOU CAN’T DO THAT ANYMORE! Do you know WHY? Because the RINOs and DEMOCRATS opened up the education statutes and CHANGED IT in 2007! NOW, you have to get the forms EVERY YEAR, from the STATE, not the school. You have to take the forms to your doctor and get his wise counsel and have them SIGN IT. Then you have to get your own signature on it notarized and send it back in! You can’t even turn the forms in at school. A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY for Texas parents when before they could take a one time forever opt out.
However, MY DAUGHTER and the many other parents who opted out in 2003, don’t have to do that as long as their kids are in school, because that was the law at the time. SHE gets to decide what needles get stuck into her children, thanks to the legislation Rick Perry signed and placed into law in 2003. And she doesn’t have to do another damned thing about it. EVER. No every year opt out, no forms, NADA!

According to the DSHS website, opt outs are good for2 years. But the. Plan was to change to1 in 2007. I think that was one reason the TMA turned on the. Governor. (On phone, so no links for reference. )
