It's like that automatic subscription renewal they charge to your credit card. You didn't say “no”. You weren't given the opportunity to say yes either. You have to jump through hoops to say no. They know you will forget, so they take your money and renew your subscription.
They know you won't opt out or even know about the vaccination being given. So, most never opt out.
When it comes to your kids health, you should have to opt IN or no go. Who cares what the insurance companies want? I'm sure what they want is in THEIR interests, not YOURS.
That’s good logic for those of us fortunate enough to be able to pay for it. But we are the 10 percenters. The other 90% had/HAVE no access to the vaccine now because it was not mandated. And it wasn’t, you see. The people kicked up such a fuss from their misunderstanding of the issue (myself included) that it was killed before hitting the ground. It was a complicated issue and would have saved so many Texans from grief, yet if we didn’t want it we just filled out a slip of paper that was turned in with the doctors note all kids had to turn in to their school.

So it’s wrong to require TB vaccinations, polio vaccinations, or smallpox vaccinations unless the parents explicitly ask for them?
