“Whatever your thoughts on Reagan, he wasn’t a quitter.”

Exactly!!

Reagan was not a quitter. Palin is a quitter. She walked out on the people of Alaska when being the governor of AK was going to hold back her personal ambitions. Abandoned the people that voted for her to seek fame and fortune in the lower 48. Disgusting!

Ronald Reagan would never have willingly abandoned the people of CA! I dumped Palin when I learned she walked out of Alaska and into a Fox News job, got the big advance for a book deal, was getting big speaking fees, etc.

Why Rush, Hannity and other “conservative” commentators still praise Palin is beyond me. Quitting an office you campaigned for and took an oath to fulfill is most definitely NOT a conservative principle!

I too was disappointed when Palin left the governorship, but if I was fighting lawsuits right and left from idiots and was over $500,000 in debt trying to defend them and the lawyers were hounding me for money I might have to do the same thing.

Not sure which end this crap is coming out of, but it sure does have a foul smelly odor.

I see that you think it's preferable then to go running around the country on the government's dime while at the same time looking for another job (like most of these current jokers), all the while you're getting paid and neglecting your present duties for a job that you previously campaigned and got elected to do.

Yeah, I see how 'honorable' your thinking goes.

Citizen, please help me. I have searched diligently for the phrase “4 years” or even “full term” in the Alaskan oath of office, and have not found it. Please tell me where it is, so that I may believe you are not making things up:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Alaska, and that I will faithfully discharge my duties as [Governor of the State of Alaska] to the best of my ability.”

Your tagline would be more fitting at Frum Forum, Moderate Voices or some such.

Well, just to let you know, I am an Alaskan, I live in Wasilla and was quite disappointed that Sarah Quit. Not because she was a quitter, but because Alaska and this area sorely needs her. It was horrible how the media and a few basement dweller used the court system she put in place to destroy her on such frivolous charges. It was also horrible that it was bankrupting us paying for their political agendas. Millions of dollars being burned up in courts and it was not costing the basement dwellers a dime!

Do you actually think Sarah wanted to quit? And that she did it for money? Nothing in her history points to that, in fact her track record holds her comments that she was doing what was best for the state with the difficult political trickery that we were buried in. I am quite sure as a savvy politician she knew it just might spell the end of her career as a politician, but she did, as she promised to do, what was best for the people rather than herself.

The fact that she turned the MSM attacks dogs into a monetary asset is just a typical Sarah kind of thing. The lady is darn good with making silk purses out of sows ears, the Boom-Town growth of Wasilla and the condition of the budget of Alaska when she left is a good indication of that.

I hope she runs, I just wish I was a democrat so I could vote twice for her.

This is one Wasillian Alaska that appreciates what she has done for me, and she does not even know me. But... I KNOW HER and that is why she has my support and vote.

Just thought you might like to know what Alaskans really think of her.

Well we have a problem here.

So, since Palin was forced to resign her Governor position for reasons you are well aware of, she has Not quit being involved in politics on a national level which also proves she is not a quitter.

On the other hand, as long as you believe your own BS line from the media...you will always be an idiot!

“when being the governor of AK was going to hold back her personal ambitions”

If Sarah Palin is the kind to go after personal ambitions at the expense of the people, how do you explain her refusal to accept pay raises and other special privileges throughout her political career, including a jet for her personal use?

Please think again.

I was in MA when your man Romney was guv. He was a mediocre one his first two years and then, worse than Palin, he ran for president full-time, largely out of state, while still occupying the office. The GOP fell to historical lows in MA on his watch.

Oh, and your second choice, Christie, is toying with a presidential run after only 18 months in office.
